When the Body Holds What Words Can’t

Brainspotting Therapy

Some experiences live in the body long after they leave conscious memory—quietly shaping how we feel, react, and move through the world. You may sense that something is affecting you without fully understanding why. Brainspotting is a gentle, focused therapy that supports access to the parts of the brain and nervous system where emotional experiences are held, especially those shaped by trauma, chronic stress, or early relational wounds.

Brainspotting therapy is a relational, brain-and body-based approach that can support anxiety, trauma, grief, and nervous system overwhelm by working at a pace that feels safe and attuned.

This approach works through the connection between where you look and how your brain processes emotion. By identifying specific eye positions—called brainspots—we can access deeper emotional material without forcing insight or repeatedly retelling your story. Instead, your nervous system leads the process, allowing healing to unfold at its own pace.

While Brainspotting engages the brain and body, healing happens within the safety of relationship. Feeling seen, supported, and not rushed is central to this work. The therapeutic relationship itself helps create the conditions for meaningful change.

Many of the people I work with carry a lot beneath the surface. You may function well on the outside while feeling anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck inside. Brainspotting offers a gentle way to reach what words don’t always touch.

Quiet forest path surrounded by trees, symbolizing grounding, presence, and moving at a gentle pace.

Healing doesn't need to be rushed.

You might be drawn to Brainspotting if you…

  • Feel “stuck” despite insight or traditional talk therapy
  • Carry anxiety, overwhelm, or emotional heaviness in your body
  • Have experienced trauma, relational wounds, or chronic stress
  • Feel disconnected from yourself or your emotions
  • Are seeking a more body-based, attuned approach to healing

Ways Brainspotting can support healing...

  • Processing trauma and unresolved emotional pain
  • Reducing anxiety and emotional reactivity
  • Increasing nervous system regulation and a sense of safety
  • Strengthening self-awareness and emotional connection
  • Creating space for relief, clarity, and integration

What sessions often feel like

Brainspotting sessions are slow, quiet, and deeply attuned. You don’t need to explain everything perfectly or relive your story in detail. We follow what your nervous system brings forward, moment by moment, in a safe and supportive relationship. You remain in control throughout—nothing is forced.

Healing happens through presence, not pressure. In an attuned relationship, your system is given the safety it needs to release what it has been holding. Brainspotting isn’t about fixing you—it’s about helping your system remember how to heal.
